Welcome to InKing Royalty’s August Blog Hop! This month’s hop projects center around a SUNSHINE theme, so I hope you are ready for some sunshine fun! We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
I made the following card for today’s hop a while back. I masked a circle outline and blended the yellow ink using a blending brush. I thought I had cleaned my brush thoroughly but a tad of green transferred on the edge of the sun, but I really like the way it looks. It adds a bit of depth, especially with the Pretty Peacock cardstock.
Supplies:
Set: | Something Fancy |
Dies: | Quiet Meadow |
Cardstock: | Pretty Peacock, Basic White |
Ink: | Pretty Peacock, Lemon Lolly |
Other: | Blending Brush |
As you can see, I have a BOGO again this month. My second card was a happy accident. I was making a totally different card using the tree wreath from Wishes All Around and discovered the center of the wreath was a perfect sun. I knew I had to use it for today’s hop. I just love the way it turned out!
Supplies:
Sets: | Circle Sayings, Rays of Light |
Dies: | Wishes All Around |
Cardstock: | Daffodil Delight, Basic White |
Ink: | Daffodil Delight |
This is where my sun came from!

A very clever use of the center of the new tree wreath.
I love it! Now I’m going to have to think about other “insides” that can be something else!
Pam, Your cards are so cute ! Love the idea of using the center of the wreath! You are amazing!
