Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around REMEMBER. This word can mean different things to different people – fond memories, respectful tributes, special occasions that we’ll never forget. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
This month’s theme gave me reason to bring out my all time favorite retired in color and a favorite retired stamp set from the dusty shelf of my oldies but goodies.
Kiwi Kiss. It brings a tear to my eye and a poem to my heart. Literally a…haiku.
Long lost Kiwi Kiss
I remember you fondly
Perfect poo poo green
Spring Solitude came out a bazillion years ago but still has the clean, crisp, classic images that make my heart flutter. It too brings a tear and a haiku.
Oh Spring Solitude
Where have you been for so long?
Lost in the clutter
But now in all seriousness…I made some cards that reflect my comfort style of stamping, CAS (clean and simple). Sometimes getting back to basics and using some old time favorites can bring a sense of peace and can reignite the spark that made you fall in love with stamping in the first place. I remember how it was an escape for me but it can often become stressful if we put too much pressure on ourselves. We need a reminder every now and then to focus on the reason we started stamping…because we love it.
3×3 and a note card

Congratulations and well done for being so honest! We all have retired products and it’s so good to see a Demonstrator use them!
It was nice to dust them off! Thank you for the comment!
I can see why you like this green so much, Pam! Such fun cards with a great pairing of oldies-but-goodies. So glad you hopped with us today! ♥
Thank you Brian! It is the only retired product that I really miss. The other was Poppy Parade but apparently I wasn’t alone on that one ☺️
Pam, your note cards are paper haiku to me, and I love them. And thanks for the reminder to get back to our stamping roots. You really impacted my day!
Cindie, your sweet comment just made my day! Thank you ❤️
Darling cards and great nostalgic post. Your haikus made me smile!
Thank you Barbara ☺️. I had fun with this one!
Absolutely adore your trip down memory lane, Pam! Thank you for sharing it with us!
Xoxo Julie!
Love your haiku and your sweet cards too!
Such cute cards, Pam! Kiwi Kiss was before my time, but I can see why you kept it.
HA!! I can see why Kiwi Kiss was retired! Really a poo-poo color. This was before my time! I do love your CAS cards!
I love your CAS style, and you made poo poo green glam!
