Welcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around GRATEFUL. Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and we are grateful you’ve stopped by. We are excited to share our Thanksgiving-themed or grateful-centered projects with you! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
I am so excited to share today’s card with you. I am so crazy in love with the new Peaceful Poppies suite from the upcoming mini catalog. When I was at On Stage in Atlanta last week there were poppies all over the walls, stage, tables, back packs…etc. I was in heaven! The colors in the DSP really set a serene mood that just makes me happy. I was lucky enough to get the Painted Poppies stamp set at a little table game that we play at the end of all of our events. I immediately knew exactly what I wanted to do with one of the stamps and my card is probably one of my favorites that I have ever made. It takes me back to my roots as it reminds me of a card I made so many years ago.

Way back when I first started stamping I would make hand drawn borders. They are super easy and all you need is a ruler and a journaling pen. As I traced the border I used the ruler as a guide but made my lines very sketchy. I first used Memento to stamp my image on shimmery white cardstock , then drew the frame and lastly stamped the sentiment (Country Home in the Annual Catalog.) I colored the poppies with the light Poppy Parade blend.
Pool Party and Poppy Parade are one of my favorite color combos so it was a no brainer to finish it off with a layer of Pool Party. The Peaceful Poppies DSP uses Pool party as well. I can’t wait to get the Peaceful Moments sentiment set in the suite because every one of the stamps will fit in this layout beautifully.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Lynn Kolcun at Avery’s Owlery. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
