Christmas

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature Christmas! I hope you are in a Holiday mood because there is a lot of Christmas fun headed your way. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I sketched this card layout a few months ago and immediately knew I wanted to use it for a Christmas card for this month’s hop. I had envisioned using pink, purple and blues for the color combo but just couldn’t get it to work. It took some time to get a combo that I really liked for this layout. Finding the 4th color really stumped me but when I put Basic Gray in there I loved it.

All supplies are from the Annual Catalog. Stamp Set – For Unto Us. So Many Snowflakes Dies. Card Stock- Basic White, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Basic Gray, Pear Pizzazz, Evening Evergreen. I embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder and added some red rhinestones for a touch of bling.

Since all the lines were kind of harsh I decided to soften it all up by rounding the corners with the Detailed Trio punch.

I had a scrap of the stripes left over so I used them to make a 3×3. Thought it was just too cute.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Ann Murray at Murray Stamps Ink. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

      1. Thanks for the heads up, Pam. New at this & I just turned off “approve b4 editing”. I appreciate your help!

  2. The bold and beautiful stripes are wonderful! I can relate to playing with color combos until you find one that works. Your 3×3 is perfection, it is too cute!
